There’s a lot more to menopause than changing your eating.

You’ve got to get really good at cleaning too!

The quicker you get started on cleaning up your body, mind and environment the quicker symptoms like bad sleep, anxiety, low energy, mood swings and hot flushes will fade too.

1 Environment

You want a quiet, clutter free kitchen and cooking area so when you go into that space you feel good.

Empty out your cupboards and chuck out anything that doesn’t fit with your new lifestyle choices.

Take a long hard look at what’s in your kitchen and cooking space. Is it an energetic match for what you really, really want? Is it going to help you get rid of your menopause symptoms or is it going to distract you and get in your way?

Now’s the time to ditch those dusty gadgets and cook books you never use.

Create a bright and fresh environment – buy a fresh basil or fresh mint plant to brighten up the area.

Make your kitchen somewhere you feel comfortable and want to be – not somewhere you can’t wait to escape from.

Sort through your drawers at work or in your home study too. Decluttering your environment helps keep your mind clear and is the first step towards breaking through the brain fog.

2 Mind

Is external stress triggering your menopause symptoms? Too many emails, annoying colleagues, untidy teenagers, aging parents, traffic jams etc can all trigger hot flushes, anxiety and keep you awake at night.

Well you can’t avoid stress but you can learn to manage your reaction to situations that are out of your control.

Practice relaxation daily using one of the following techniques and you’ll find the background stress that’s making your symptoms worse will begin to ease

  • Meditation
  • Gratitude
  • Digital detox
